4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe didn't know what to expect when we moved here - we had never even heard of Whitney. WISD has turned out to be the best school our kids have ever attended in Texas. We are staying until they graduate. They are excelling and are honor students in the high school now. WISD offers dual credit AP courses, has lots of sports (FB, softball, tennis, golf, etc), has a SUPER academic program with lots of UIL events.... it's a great little community too. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal gets no stars from me. If you aren't from Whitney, your children are segregated by the principal, unless your child is in sports. The teachers get 3 stars because they really do care and they try very hard. The curriculum is sub par. If you are coming from a larger city, the rest of the children are going to be behind your child academically.
