6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTomball is unfortunately plagued with the "good ole boy" mentality. The administrators cover each other's backs and they have unfair and dishonest practices. They show favoritism with different students, and awards and scholarships are based on popularity and favoritism other than who actually deserves it. They allow certain students to do whatever they want just because they happen to be a good football player or a pretty girl. They give special privileges to some students and not to others. Although my children have had some excellent teachers at THS, overall the school did not turn out to be what we had hoped.Parent Review3y ago - Creekside Park J High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a student at this school since 2021.The school changed a lot over the three years I been here. The school took away the freedom of using the bathroom. We are only allowed to use it in the five minutes we have to get to each period(class change). We aren’t allowed to use it in the first or last ten minutes of class. That would not be a problem if the teachers are discouraged to allow us to go. I was on my period once and got denied after I told my teacher that I needed to change my pad.The school is more focus on dress coding the students more than teaching them. The school this year said that they would check us every two periods ,but they never did(thank god). They give us five minutes in between class period ,that is not enough time for eight grader. We have to walk from the gym to the last hallway. The school has uneven funding, they rather fund sports . They do not fund dance, theater, art , and choir .Student Review7mo ago - Creekview Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am disappointed with the school leadership and lots of turnovers from principal to teachers and staff. This is also by far the most terrible school if you have a child that has disability. They offer services for your child based on what’s convenient for them and not what’s best and appropriate for achieving the best learning experience for my child. Some of the teachers are very nice and supportive but my child’s teacher who have a disability do not have compassion and all she did was complain about my child not finishing work, or participating and having behavioral issues. I constantly have to remind her my child is Austistic and that he’s got a lot of behavioral issues and that he needs help and support. She would email me Atleast 3-4 a week and we moved a lot a have another child who have disability and I’ve never gotten so much email about my disabled child not cooperating or having behavioral issues. The school is also overcrowded making it hard for the teachers to actually focus on their students and they constantly have to hire more teachers because there’s just too much kids in this school. Overall not a good experience for us!!! Of all the places we’ve moved and lived this is the worst school for me. My kids doesn’t look forward in going to school everyday.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 25022 Mountclair Hollow Ln.

"It’s quite small and centered between route 210, Waldorf, and National Harbor. Most living here are families with good jobs. Also it has become an area with steady growth in the surrounding commercial zoning locations due to the increase in residential property development. It’s a budding location with a lot of potential to offer its current and future residents."

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway).
