This school should just have a “white only” sign on its website and building. The racial slurs are happening throughout the campus, and buses without real consequences or acknowledgement from the district and school leadership that the school environment is hostile towards black students and non whites. Students are fighting physically to defend their dignity and humanity and are met with switch consequences like in school a suspension, suspension or expelled from the school and sent to an alternative school. However, nothing is really done to their counterparts so the cycle continues. It’s sad because so many non white students are excelling academically only to decline emotionally, socially and in the classroom as the year progresses due to being harassed for being black or a non white

If a student is a non white, they will be harassed continuously in the classroom, at lunch, on the bus, hallways, bathrooms, and athletics just because they are not white. The campus leadership is not diligent in handling the issue and some students decline academically, and emotionally. The whole Weatherford ISD tolerates non whites but they do not offer any protection or acknowledgement that it serves a diverse student population.

This school has given us a run for our money to say the least. My kindergartener has come home on a few occasions with urine soaked clothing from not being allowed to go to the restroom, and not offered the back up clothes I sent labeled with her name and teacher, they lost those. She’s been made to walk her entire recess for forgetting her reading log. Last week they took all of the kinder class off campus with 5 minute heads up to the parents. Some parents weren’t told at all. When we asked about a permission slip, we were told it was signed at the beginning of the year with the student handbook. My 3rd grader has really had a rough go at this school. He’s been bullied, and is ignored and/or dismissed when requesting help in those situations even when he’s hurt. If he gets hurt accidentally, no one offers him any aid. He has been punished harshly for things he had no part of. He has been made to give up lunch time to complete work regaurdless of his 504. I took a medication to the school for impetigo on his nose, he’s a staph carrier, they failed to administer the medication. It really has been a battle all year. When I take all of these concerns to the Superintendents office you have to show up in person, they don’t answer the phone. I was able to speak with the supers assistant and she was LESS than professional.
