2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI must say that I am incredibly disappointed with this school. The way they treat their students is unacceptable. It's pretty alarming that they resort to threatening students with suspension to get them to attend classes while they are in the school hallway. I haven't removed my son from this school because he loves one of their programs. However, I strongly feel that this school does not prioritize the welfare of its students. Their so-called "Gold standard" is nothing more than a meaningless phrase. Many students attend school without their uniforms, and there are even incidents of gun threats. And to make matters worse, the school doesn't notify parents when such incidents occur.Parent Review3w ago - Dueitt Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is not a good school, the education is lacking. So little work is given that people are finishing way before class is over, also very few teachers actually teach, many students are failing. The meals the school gives are awful, it has hair in it, it's not cooked all the way either, the milk is chalky, and you have to pay for water. Students here have no discipline, there is a fight almost everyday. I would avoid this school if possible.Student Review1y ago - Chet Burchett Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy overall experience here has been has been great! While I was attending I took the opportunities that the school offered for grauanted. It wasn’t until this year during my college search where I became fully aware of the great things we do at Wunsche. When I would elaborate on my accomplishments and opportunities that Wunsche has to offer, all of the alumni and college admission officers were greatly impressed. Keep in mind, these were Ivy League and high tier institutions such as Georgetown and University of Pennsylvania. Wunsche has provided me with ample opportunities to have a successful live outside of high school.Student Review6y ago - Edward Roberson Middle School

"I have lived here since 2017 and I absolutely love this neighborhood. It's quite, friendly, safe and very child friendly. There is never any crime and you hardly ever hear emergency sirens. Every single neighbor has been wonderful and polite except one. "

"Best place to live in DC. It’s a beautiful neighborhood that is urban but not downtown. It’s all about the park and trail, tons of restaurants, things to do, grocery stores, markets, bar. Has its own metro in easy walking distance and a trail that connect you to the east side of the city. "

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway). "20 minutes to town, one can go through downtown 25 mph or there are other roads through the countryside that have no lights and higher speed limits to get to the other end of town. 30 min to Carson City. One hour to Reno"
