Last year was great here, my child had a great teacher who really cared, this year however I am not so sure. My child calls her lazy! She has not let the children play outdoors this whole year more than twice! Science backs me up on this, children, especially 8 year olds need a real break not a "in-class" break, but a break where they can run & jump. My child comes home with 2 sad faces a week on his behavior folder, this would change if he was given recess. With the high rate of childhood obesity & type 2 diabetes prevalence in San Antonio I'm shocked a school would be so uneducated on the importance of physical activity. I have brought this up to his teacher & she blamed the school, so I brought it up to the vise principal. The only benefit here is the fact that they have dual language.

To me there isn't anything special about this school. I can definitely highlight the negatives better than the positives. The administrators focus way too much attention on things like dress code, and not enough on academics. Some of the administrators are very rude, and assuming. On the bright side, the school has a great leadership program, but the district needs to access other issues rather than construction.
