7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am Not pleased with SW this year! Mr. Battles knew my entire family and vehicles and I never had to tell him my sons name! First the fact that I paid well over $30 in school supplies to be told well it goes in a pile. 'Umm his name is on it so use it!' To be told well its so that when kids don't have anything we can have something..then use the one you scratched the name through and give my son his items! This year alone two things have been taken and ruined so that my son may not use them. This has made me furious. Then twice a student has been 'misplaced' or unknown location. Staff says he went on bus and I said no he didn't. The person never verified who I was or relation to the child!!! Come to find out the child was still at school' whatever teacher said child got on bus needs to be punished! Freaking out the family, the bus driver and a neighbor is not the best way to end a school day! Needless to say I'm inquiring to other schools of transfer!Parent Review10y ago - Southwest High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNot enough security.! Police officer on site admitted that the school is under staffed to control 1100 students. My daughter has been bullied since she started the 6th grade in 2014 let me tell you the administration has not done a thing. If they can't control the school we need better administration and more security.! We as the parents pay taxes for our children to get the education they need and for them to be safe as well. Something has to change.Parent Review9y ago - Check out schools near 5527 Butch Cyn.

"I love the Roosevelt neighborhood for its vibrant atmosphere and undeniable sense of safety. The tree-lined streets and well-maintained sidewalks create a welcoming environment, making it a favorite spot for residents and visitors alike. One of the charming aspects that draw me to this neighborhood is the sight of numerous people leisurely walking their dogs. The safety of Roosevelt is evident in the close-knit community where neighbors look out for one another. The low crime rates and well-lit streets contribute to an overall feeling of security. Whether it's strolling through the local parks or enjoying a cup of coffee at a nearby café, there's a prevailing sense of ease that permeates the area. The presence of people walking their dogs adds a delightful touch to daily life in Roosevelt. It's a testament to the neighborhood's pet-friendly nature and the shared joy of pet ownership. Dogs of all shapes and sizes can be seen enjoying the green spaces, fostering a sense of camaraderie among dog owners. In conclusion, my love for Roosevelt is deeply rooted in the combination o"

"As San Antonio continues to grow, the Inner Loop 410 area is becoming the diamond of the city. The area has prime museums, parks, farmer markets, shopping, and a small town feel. Admittedly, Ridgeview is a transitioning neighborhood that offers great value, most importantly for families is that it’s a part of the North East School District and a small pocket of homes are located in the highly sought after Alamo Heights School District."
