7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe transitioned to Alamo heights public schools from private school and I was very nervous about how my 5th grader would do but it has been the best experience of his life. His teacher has been there many years and you can tell she truly cares about the kids and making learning fun. They have technology available at their fingertips and they learn using computers, iPads, smart boards, etc which keeps the kids interested. the principal does a great job keeping parents informed with weekly emails. Overall excellent experience.Parent Review9y ago - Howard El

"Although some residents can be snotty, this is an excellent area to live in. It is very family friendly, everything is very convenient, and the school district is wonderful. It is a very safe area and emergency units respond extremely quickly in case of any incident. The quarry is very close by for any shopping and dining. The town is constantly kept up and the city listens to its residents. There is little nightlife, which helps keep the streets safe and quiet at night, but a short drive downtown can provide plenty of nightlife. Overall, this is an amazing area to live in. "
