7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI gave this campus two years to correct racial discrimination to where I had to involve the superintendent after so many attempts on campus level. They are so "nice nasty" and expect you not to catch on. To add they do nothing for these kids last year nor this year. No kindergarten graduation, no DIVERSITY with school dances, no school performances. They should be ashamed of their behavior to be called a Title one school with such ugly intent for children of color! I hope involving district Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Brian Lyons changes things for u!coming students! Also to add they used retaliation tactics and said my infant was not allowed to attend field day "because there was no space... outside" yet while leaving out a father and his toddler daughter were allow. They bully black kids and do not get the full story before calling parents or FULLY checking cameras to see who the true problem is.Parent Review10mo ago - Plano East Sr High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe good thing about East is that no one cares. You're able to wear a lot more stuff (ex: ripped jeans, hats), you can wear earbuds in the hallway, and you can sit anywhere you want on (or off) campus during lunch. The bad thing about East is that no one cares; if you've got a problem, you're not going to get it resolved. Teachers regularly break rules and openly humiliate students, and administration will not do a thing. If you happen to get a good teacher for a class (ex: Ms. Devillier, Mr. Carter, Mr. Hall, Coach Rapp) you're really lucky, but those are hard to come by. The administrative staff is EXTREMELY rude and treats most of the students (and even parents) like animals. Many of my friends have gotten food poisoning from the school cafeteria, so go off campus or bring your food so you don't get sick. Cheating runs rampant, and there are so many students that trying to get in the top 10% if you don't take every class AP/IB is nearly impossible. Very academically driven school (everyone I know is either in dual credit, AP, or IB), so if you're looking for that kind of environment this is the place to be. However, be prepared to have about 3-5 hours of homework (generally busy work that the teachers LOVE to assign) each night if you're planning on taking any advanced classes, and this could easily be more. Getting involved in any extracurriculars is extremely time consuming but generally rewarding. Even if you're involved, there are about 1300 students in each graduating class so you're probably not going to stand out to any colleges, that's just the reality of the situation here. The school may look good and put together on the outside looking in, but there are some serious issues. It's only a matter of time before the entire charade collapses. If you really care about standing out as a student, I'd recommend going to Plano Senior or just skipping the Plano ISD senior high schools altogether, as this is the culture everywhere more or less.Student Review5y ago - C A Mcmillen High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAvoid this school at all costs. They are the most incompetent staff I have ever seen or has the displeasure of working with. They rush the kids out the door and lock it behind them, then lie about them being able to wait for the 2nd "wave" of buses inside as they run for their cars in the rear parking lot. Only to have your child left unattended for 45 minutes waiting for a bus with 100+ other kids. In the age of Uvalde and other tragedies, this is unacceptable and their incompetence is staggering. Do some digging. This school is the worst you could do for your child.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 2400 Jupiter Rd #N3.
