We took our 8th grader out of Coronado Middle School for several reasons. Among them are the lack of inclusion. There are two classes of children, haves and have nots. The children are more concerned about what year your iPhone is and do you have the most recent and most expensive computer. The parents are equally judgmental. Their is little to no diversity. The teachers lack passion and compassion. They are only collecting paychecks. The leadership will reprimand the children when parents question the schools competence. The Spanish teacher loses home work and give the child an F for homework and requires the parent prove that the homework was turned in. Once the homework is found their is no apology and when it happens on several occasions the teacher continues to avoid taking responsibility. Since leaving my Childs academic performance has greatly improved as well as their citizenship attitude towards others. Their is no dress code. The girls typically compete for how short they can get their shorts before they are actually showing their genitalia. The principle and vice principle are annoyed by parents suggestions for improvement. Our home lives have improved since our children left Coronado Schools. Don't be fooled by the location or perceived esteem.
