i'm sorry, but this is a great school with hundreds of amazing opportunities. It is a safe school. There's no fights during the school year, it's actually rare to find gang members. I hate that everyone believes that this school is unsafe because it's "ghetto". Go to school there and you'll see that it isn't what everyone makes it out to be.

Out of all the schools my kids have attended, Dr Long is the best. I have three kids that attend their and 4 next year. My kids are very well know their. I love the attention my kids get their. Even when my son wanted to give up the staff at Dr Long never gave up. Extra thanks to these special teachers, Mr Silva, Mrs T martinez, Mrs T-Rex, Mrs Gomez, ms Mendez, ms p salinas, ms Lopez. Thanks so much for having such a impact in my family's lives!

My daughter has been bullied in this school several times this year! the principal is NOT on top of things at all. My daughter feels threatened to go to class and feels there is nothing that can be done about it. Which is true since all the bullies get is a "talk". There should be more parents involved and the school should implement that as well. I have spoken to the principal several times and all she says is "its kid stuff" and that my daughter over reacts! I really hope that the district gets more involved at this elementary. I hate having to come home from work just to see my daughter cry and ask me to change her schools. We all need to be involved in our childrens lives and increase communication. Our CHILDREN should not be afraid to go to class because they think they are going to get beat up!!
