5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved my son as a rising senior from Brentwood, TN due to a job change. We really had no choice. He was on track there but this school told him he needed an additional six credits, on top of his normal classes, to be able to graduate. Six! I said I was flabbergasted and they just put down TN schools. Okay. Well his school was very highly rated but whatever. So he had been in orchestra and marching band but he had to make the tough decision to not participate because of all the extra classes required. Then one day in the school year the assistant principal called him in and just grilled him. Was he the same person that the police were looking for in a nearby town. He said absolutely not. Well they are looking for a person with your name who drives a pickup truck. He said well I drive a car and it’s not me. Well they were going to check it out. They did and no apology was made to him. Then in his English class he was asked to write poetry. Not his thing but he put a lot of effort into it. Apparently it was too good and in a Friday they called him in and said he plagiarized it. He was sick all weekend over this. They then told him the following week that they decided he did not, again no apology made. Then a girl who acted like she was befriending him, only to mentally torture him, including an attack on property caught on film. The school did nothing. He did not attend graduation because of her. They said she had a troubled home life so they wanted us to be understanding. The icing on the cake was when he was accepted to the college of his choice and I called the counselor and asked if they could do something or say something nice, they said they were way too busy to congratulate every kid accepted to college. Now they are making a big deal but then no. I would absolutely not recommend this school at all. They were terrible to my son. He is a great person and is excelling in college. What a terrible memory this school was for his senior year. I did send a letter to the superintendent. They never responded so I sent it again. His secretary called me. If this all sounds great, good luck.Parent Review7mo ago - Check out schools near 3014 Fern Ct.

"the commute into major cities around is horrible. planning coordination did not extend to this southern DFW county for some reason. "

"Watch your kids at all times just in case. I live in a very safe neighborhood but I still would keep an eye out. Speeding is common place but there are a ton of teenagers around here. My son is 3 and he’s very excited to see other people on our walk so that’s really great. But traffics on mockingbird and 1387 is difficult to getv around between 6-9am and 2-7pm everyday. "
