I have never connected with a school as much as I did with this one. The teachers made you feel like you could do and be anything. They were always willing to help out anyone at anytime. The school was one of my most happiest places to attend. I think they did a fantastic job at teaching me what I needed to learn. Thank you, DeZavala for everything you have done for me.

Although, I am fairly certain this won't do any good, maybe you will come across it and it will help. I don't know of an alternative school that would be any better in MISD which is why we are still at this school. To keep it short, if your child DOES NOT struggle socially, emotionally, or academically then this is a great school. If so, I would not recommend it.

The bullying and racism in this school is unacceptable.

There are some wonderful teachers and some that could be let go. Administrators are kind but not strict enough. I do like their approachability but seem very unorganized in the front office. This campus needs a fresh coat of paint and new flooring! It appears very dingy and dark.

The school is decent, at best, learning wise. However, the atmosphere is toxic. Football is a big deal, however, not much else is. The kids can be brutal and it is full of typical cliques. Drugs and mental health are an issue, which goes unchecked. Overall... not great.

This school has made so many improvements! The dual language program is the best and my child is thriving in both English and Spanish! Is it challenging? Absolutely, but the teachers and staff are amazing! The class sizes, the support and community feeling are all great and exactly what I wanted in a school!

Unbelievably amazing school with an incredible staff. They teach the whole child, not just academics. Love being there. Great positive energy.

School is AWESOME! Great students, teachers, etc. The previous student is probably a student who is very unhappy in life. That always makes studying a distraction. He/she can leave at any time, no one is making him/her stay. It will be better for school as well. Every school should be this good. No, they don't have electives, but these students have the opportunity to focus without the distraction of fights, bullying and they have great supportive teachers. I would not want my child to go back to regular public school.
