7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI recently had an experience with the counseling services at Liberty High School, and unfortunately, it was far from satisfactory. Its disappointing to say that the counselors at this institution seem to put the least amount of effort into helping students with their academic and personal concerns. One major issue I encountered was the difficulty in obtaining the classes I desired. Despite expressing my interests and career goals to my counselor, it felt like my preferences were ignored. The counselor seemed disinterested and was unable to provide any viable solutions or alternatives when my preferred classes were unavailable.Furthermore, the lack of proactive assistance and guidance from the counselors was evident throughout my time at Liberty High School. It felt as though they were more concerned with meeting their minimum responsibilities rather than genuinely investing time and effort into helping students navigate their academic journey. The absence of personalized attention and a genuine effort to understand individual student needs was obvious.Communication with the counselors was also a challenge. It often took multiple attempts to schedule appointments, and even then, the meetings felt rushed and unhelpful. I expected the counseling department to be a supportive resource for students, but unfortunately, it fell short of those expectations.Overall, my experience with the counseling services at Liberty High School left much to be desired. The lack of personalized attention, difficulty in obtaining desired classes, and overall disinterest displayed by the counselors contribute to a disappointing experience for students seeking guidance. Liberty High School should address these concerns and take steps to improve the quality of their counseling services in the future.Other Review1mo ago - Scoggins Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagehonestly i like scoggins. There may be kids doing drugs, there may be kids affiliated with gangs in the school, and there my be fighting a lot, but the world is not perfect. If you want your kid to find out how to survive in the real world then send them here. I am at this school, and i am doing perfectly fine. After figuring out how to survive it got pretty easy. I affiliated with a gang inside of the school, i fought multiple times. Now i am not scared anymore. I am ready to face life head on. I am not afraid of high school anymore as well. There are only limited ways to survive. The best way to get through the year at this school is to hang with a group. Get with your friends and stick together. I and my friends started a crew after being threatened by another group. We started boosting each others confidence and had enough courage to tell the other people to stop. After they didn't stopped and stabbed one of my friends with scissors, we all started freaking out. so we instead did the same thing to them. this eventually led to a war by stabbing each other till a teacher sees you. I am not saying that this is what you have to do, but i am saying that you have to show people that you are not afraid. overall its a alright school.Student Review6mo ago - Comstock Elementary School

"McKinney is a beautiful place with mature trees and well maintained foliage. There are working class people with well mannered children. I love Halloween because people trick or treat with their kids and some pets and people decorate their homes with a flair for fun! I would raise children here if I were younger but I enjoy being a empty nester! 😊"
