2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI DO NOT RECOMEND THIS SCHOOL FOR ANYONE PLUS THEY ARE RATED HAVING "F" AVERAGES FOR STUDENTS!!!This school is the worse school ever! The BULLING is ridiculous! The staff doesn't take any actions for the child's safety they just talk to kids thinking it's all done since they so and the bulling continues. I have had my daughter continuously going to office explaining the situation and nothing I have had many stupid blue forms they give you for explanation like that shit is going to do anything. So I decided to go to Administration and even when I did they to administration that I was going to be able to speak to PRINCIPAL mind you this would of been the first time EVER I would of been able to since either staff is on duty and they can't assist you the principals secretary is off but Principal is THERE but you can't speak to her unless the secretary is there. what kind of thing is that it shouldn't matter is the secretary is not there. well back to the subject I went to my appointment to see the principal and guess what the principal referred the VP to speak to me instead because they go as they see fit the situation requires! I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS SCHOOL FOR ANYONE PLUS THEY ARE RATED HAVING "F" AVERAGES FOR STUDENTS!!! I TOOK MY DAUGHTER OUT OF THAT SCHOOL THAT SAME DAY! REGARDLES OF. i DONT EVEN GIVE ONE STAR IT DOESNT DESERVE IT!!Parent Review10mo ago - Robert M Shoemaker High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school has some of the best and most of the worst teachers like some have said many of the teachers struggle to actually teach but then gripe at us when none of us can grasp what they are teaching. the kids are alright but a lot are disruptive. and don't get me started on the principal her first year with us has been awful she treats us all like children, and puts so many restrictions on us its just sad.Student Review1y ago - El142

"I have lived here since 2017 and I absolutely love this neighborhood. It's quite, friendly, safe and very child friendly. There is never any crime and you hardly ever hear emergency sirens. Every single neighbor has been wonderful and polite except one. "

"Best place to live in DC. It’s a beautiful neighborhood that is urban but not downtown. It’s all about the park and trail, tons of restaurants, things to do, grocery stores, markets, bar. Has its own metro in easy walking distance and a trail that connect you to the east side of the city. "

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway). "20 minutes to town, one can go through downtown 25 mph or there are other roads through the countryside that have no lights and higher speed limits to get to the other end of town. 30 min to Carson City. One hour to Reno"
