2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDuring my years of being a student I would honestly say Elsik was one of THE WORST school experiences of my entire life, the assistant principals and staff were extremely rude and left me emotionally traumatized however, some of the teachers are very kind and patient to students.Student Review6mo ago - Hastings High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAMS is the best school. As soon as I walked in there it felt like anyone was welcomed and I felt comfortable. I recommend this school to everyone. The library is the best part, the librarians are the best they give snacks, they talk to you if you need anything and help you in hard times. This is the best school ever. The librarians are so nice and supportive. The most important part us that everyone cares so much about the students and I will give a shout out to all the coaches because they do so much for the students.Other Review2mo ago - Collins Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended this school from Pre-k to Fifth Grade( 2006-2012) and this school has changed my life. At the time I was in school, I thought I would never, ever need to know anything we learned, but was I wrong. I am in high school (10th grade) and I am still using some of the methods in Collins to answer my tests and quizzes. Collins taught me how to answer in full sentence, how to break down a word problem, how to not be afraid to ask a question, and to never give up when things are getting tough. The teachers then were strict but taught ever kid in their own individual way. I am so happy to have attended a wonderful school. This school teaches your child, gives them confidence, and gives them a good foundation in the rest of their educational years (and beyond). I wish the best for this school and hope any parent questioning this school to think about it. Invest in your child's future and you won't regret it.Other Review7y ago - Taylor High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAlief Taylor = Crowded. The students will carry you to your next class. Just not in five minutes. Staff: great staff members, probably the best. Teachers: easygoing and friendly, can be unorganized sometimes. Classes: Non-intensive work. Not easy to find rooms Sports: very well done Students: student body (can) be obnoxious and misbehaved Lunch: Not well suited for highschool level. Conclusion: ok school with little to no gang violence. Sometimes you feel like your not in the right grade. Needs more seniors in the classroom. Lunch needs to be upgraded for highschool students. Better and more organized. Variety of food, and costly choices needs to be provided.Other Review9y ago - Crossroads

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagejust average. Teachers should recommend good text books for students able to do self-study well. But textbook are so terrible written compared to college text book for the same kind of concepts. Many students graduating from this school not knowing much basic science like I thought.Parent Review4y ago - Check out schools near 6633 W Sam Houston Pkwy S #1B.

"They would like it. People are able to walk their dogs in the various parks or surrounding communities in which they live. The dogs seem happy and the owner satisfied that they have the space to run and play with their pet. In some gated communities there are special dog parks for residents of that community."

"The neighborhood is very diverse. You have you Hispanics, Asians, etc. Because you are in a diverse area there are many different types of cuisine. The schools aren’t the best but you are in hisd so you apply for any hisd school. The parks are kept up with well and many families enjoy them. I like that you are a bout a 15 min commute from downtown and a 10 min commute from the galleria."

"I have about 5 dogs, my biggest pet peeve is living your dog out without a leash, they usually trigger my dogs by barking at them. I also don’t like is that they leave their dogs outside their patio in the summer/ winter, they get dehydrated just like we do but 10x more worst."
