4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUNDER-QUALIFIED. I was a transfer student who came from a A+ honor roll school, Tomball Memorial High School. Lamar High School was such a big adjustment, but I looked past and saw the potential. Within the first week, my schedule was disorganized, and had to be corrected multiple times which led me to eventually give up on administration. Administration completely ignored me and my parents requests, and disregarded the transcripts and plans given. The learning environment also need improvements. Classes are taught as seminars which is completely fine minus the fact that multiple “classrooms” are combined into one shared room. It is distracting, extremely hard to learn, and difficult to digest information. With these shared rooms, there is about 100 students to one restroom. Student restroom facilities are limited to two stalls for girls and 1 stall, 1 urinal for boys which makes the wait in the restroom intolerable. There is normally herds of people trying to fit into the restrooms before or during class. There’s also a problem with students behaviors in which the administrative team do not take seriously. There has been multiple occurrences where punishment was not reasonable and students were let off easy; this led to continuous in school distractions. Overall not a recommended school of my choice.Other Review10mo ago - Wilson Montessori

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two children currently enrolled at Baker Montessori, one in 3rd grade and another in Kindergarten. Although the principal recently changed in June 2022, during our past 4 years at Wilson, now renamed Baker Montessori, the teachers and staff have been so constructive, insightful, and dedicated to their craft. The Montessori philosophy is woven into the culture. Children are encouraged to develop natural social skills along their academic path and work plans leading to curiosity and a focus on academic progress, not perfection. During the pandemic, our kids were underserved and now throughout the recovery the school administration, teachers, and staff have been working to offer tutorials and new enrichment programs, and meet the vast and various needs of the community.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 510 Lovett Blvd #206.

"Uber is expensive. Use bikes or pub trans. I don’t live here so I don’t have too much to say about public transportation. I was only here for about three days in which I used Uber the whole time and it got extremely pricey. I think if there was those scooters that are around the street I would have totally used them. But they were not accessible I haven’t seen any."
