During my years of being a student I would honestly say Elsik was one of THE WORST school experiences of my entire life, the assistant principals and staff were extremely rude and left me emotionally traumatized however, some of the teachers are very kind and patient to students.

Kids get bullied there all the time and teachers and counselors don't do anything about it.

A lot of things have happened since my daughter is attending this school, she tells me there is a fight almost every day either on the hallways or the cafeteria. The nurse lacks on her duties, there was time when my daughter had to go the nurse because she wasn't feeling well and instead of the nurse calling me she told my daughter to call me from her cell phone. It is the nurse's job to contact parents if their children are not feeling well and they need to go home or if they get sent to the nurse because they got attacked by another student which is what happened to another parent that I met. Her daughter got punched by another student and was sent to the nurse due to a bruise on the girl's face but the parent did not get notified of the incident. I also noticed a boy coming out of the school, he was holding a toy gun which looked like he had just got it out of his backpack, I contacted the principal and she did not respond back to my email so I had to drive to the school and speak to them personally. We need to make sure our kids feel safe at school, the schools should provide more security to ensure the safety of our kids. Definitely do not recommend this school.

Alief Taylor = Crowded. The students will carry you to your next class. Just not in five minutes. Staff: great staff members, probably the best. Teachers: easygoing and friendly, can be unorganized sometimes. Classes: Non-intensive work. Not easy to find rooms Sports: very well done Students: student body (can) be obnoxious and misbehaved Lunch: Not well suited for highschool level. Conclusion: ok school with little to no gang violence. Sometimes you feel like your not in the right grade. Needs more seniors in the classroom. Lunch needs to be upgraded for highschool students. Better and more organized. Variety of food, and costly choices needs to be provided.

I love this school! My older daughter went to Miller a few years back and now my youngest is attending. When we moved I made sure to stay in Millers zone so she could be at Miller. I love the attitude that everyone has! Everyone that I have tlked with from the Principal to Teachers to the ladies vacuuming the floor, they are always nice and extremely helpful!! Thank you to all the employees at Miller!!!!!

such a terrible school and such terrible kids there

This new administration cares less of the kids. My daughter was constantly bullied on the bus and inside the classroom too. I reported the situation to Ms. Toney, the principal. She told me that kids would be kids and that my daughter would learn to be tough because the world is a tough place to live. Whaat?? Ms. Desantos, an assistant principal, is the worst. When I came by the second time for the same issue, she quickly rushed my conversation stating that she was busy at the moment. Then how can this be resolved? Nobody is talking!!! Dr. Lewin, the former principal, was a warmer individual who cared about the students well being and the school. Thank goodness that we are moving soon and I have my other child at KIPP Unity.

AECHS is like no other. You will never find another principal like Dr. Brotherton. We are family and I am forever thankful for the opportunities that AECHS provides.

just average. Teachers should recommend good text books for students able to do self-study well. But textbook are so terrible written compared to college text book for the same kind of concepts. Many students graduating from this school not knowing much basic science like I thought.
