6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my kids went to sammons. My son is constantly getting bullied. The teachers and principal HUGELY fail to take any effective actions against bullying going on. Reprimanding is to a minumum. It is my understanding that they children are not educated nor constantly reminded of the no-tolerance for bullying. Teachers are left to handle each situation in however they feel is best. The school should implement a school-wide procedure for dealing with these issues. That way it's effective, instead of each teach just fending for themselves. Kids that are bullies, realize how they can get away with certain teachers because of this lack of school-wide expectation. Also, there is a huge lack of funds for extra-curricular activities. Kids barely take field trips, do things outside of their sub-par academics. This school is wack. Can't wait to afford to be able to move out of this area.Parent Review5y ago - Shotwell Middle School
