3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreenville ISD continues to struggle with mediocrity especially at the MS and HS levels. The administration lacks fire and this is reflected in the teaching staff. They continue to whine about money thinking that is the cure all but the ISD is more that adequately funded and most want to see results prior to pouring more money into a sinking ship.Parent Review10y ago - Lamar Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have went here in 2021-2022. Yes that does mean I’m 14-15 but I’m here to give my honest review about the school and my experience with it. I Personally didn’t have too much trouble through out the year but we had multiple teachers that were pretty rude to the nicer classmates. In our principles of learning and tech class, our teacher barely taught us anything useful (and they were mean to my mom when we talked about the fact we couldn’t get the list of supplies we needed for that class). Apart from that I have seen people get dress codes for the smallest hole in their pants. There is more things I can go on about but I don’t feel like typing it all out.Other Review8mo ago - Check out schools near 1619 Oneal St.

"This originally was a safe and quiet street a couple years ago. Now, it’s saturated with crime, disrespectful children and parents and high traffic areas. Definitely not as bad as it could be in certainly not where I want my children growing up. "

"don't know...I don't have a dog. but if I did it is because I can walk them in a park close to my home...and a few blocks from Pet Smart."

"We don't interact or have community gatherings. Everyone keeps to themselves and doesn't bother one another. There is a church down the street that hosts events. We've been to the Halloween events but I'm unsure of the name of the church. "

"Not a good place to live because you have kids running around the complex unsupervised. Trash all around the complex because people are to lazy to put in trash. They have no security cameras around so they don't know who is doing it. We have a family of 7 in a 3 bedroom apartment on top of us and they let the kids run around all hours of the day and night. We've complained but they don't care. I guess HUD families are what they want to keep here. That's ok because they are going to be the one's to run this place down just like every other apartment here in Greenville Texas. "

"we walk around. most dont. my area is decent for the most part and have never had problems, but I wouldn't let my family walk around without me. couple mile radius around L3 majors is the only area I'd live in. "

"it’s not. i absolutely do not like this city whatsoever. 91 percent of people are druggies, neighbors are nosy and completely disrespectful, the houses are poorly insulated... i could go on. "

"Great neighborhood. Walking distant to park and 9 hole golf course. Lamar Elementary School. Easy access to Interstate 30."
- Louise K.

"Quiet neigborhood with children in the area. Neighbors keep their lawns manicured and well cared for. Not much drama in this area. Streets are narrow, so I don't recommend parking on the street unless necessary. We have lived in this neighborhood for over 26 years and like it there."
