4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you can save yourself the trouble enroll your kids in your families district if there soned to Goodman elementary. This school does not care about the kids I have had too many bad experiences with them with conflicts with my family members and they cannot seem to resolve anything. In fact they believe that my family member is lying a nine-year-old kid is lying when he comes home crying because he’s being bullied at school. And when the teacher is told about this she acts so surprised and says said it’s not possible. The very next day the teacher addressed the class telling them to not run to their Parents saying that they’re being bullied when they’re only being called names that that is not bullying and she went ahead and added my nephews name into this door h she decided to give the kids after the meeting we had . What does this tell me these teachers are not connecting with these kids these teachers are not doing their job the way they’re certification the way the program they have to finish to become a teacher says they should . Now I find myself following an ambulance following my nine-year-old nephew that is now going to the hospital because of how much these teachers take care of the kids. There’s been many bad experiences one of many that made me so mad was that on a rainy day we called 20 minutes before dismissal to let them know to let our children wait in the office because they are walkers and we did not want them to walk did they do their job they did not when we got there 5 ish minutes before dismissal she said oh yes let me buzz it in at this time my kids were already getting wet they were in a neighborhood on a bench getting soaked and they had to walk all the way back because I was not there to pick them up because I was at the front office like they were supposed to be my kids got soaked, why? because this school cannot get its personnel to do their job. Save yourself the trouble do not send your kids here. I wish the district had more options to resolve issues like this. Also, learning with accommodations is not supported here my nephews requires A pen that helps you read and we went out of our way to get him one and in a few weeks it was lost and when he saw where it was that it was in his teachers desk and his teacher knew he has been looking for it because a few days before he asked him hey did you lose your pen is mom mad at you? And then the following days my nephew saw his pen on her desk and took it because he knew it was hisParent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 2035 Fairwood Knoll Ln.

"I have lived here since 2017 and I absolutely love this neighborhood. It's quite, friendly, safe and very child friendly. There is never any crime and you hardly ever hear emergency sirens. Every single neighbor has been wonderful and polite except one. "

"Best place to live in DC. It’s a beautiful neighborhood that is urban but not downtown. It’s all about the park and trail, tons of restaurants, things to do, grocery stores, markets, bar. Has its own metro in easy walking distance and a trail that connect you to the east side of the city. "

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway). "20 minutes to town, one can go through downtown 25 mph or there are other roads through the countryside that have no lights and higher speed limits to get to the other end of town. 30 min to Carson City. One hour to Reno"
