3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids have been going here since my oldest (currently in 2nd grade) was in pre-k. My youngest is currently in kinder. They love it. The teachers are great. My oldest is in the special education program for speech and has been doing great. He had the same SLP for 3 years and she was lovely. They hired a new one this year and I have no complaints about her either. His kinder and 1st grade teacher both provided additional tutoring when we realized he was struggling in reading, which so greatly appreciated and the improvement was noticed. His 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Morales, is so loving and always willing to send work extra with him considering he needs a little extra help. My youngest loves school and his teacher and is actually very ahead in school and we’re considering getting him tested for gifted and talented next year. I think Fort Worth ISD isn’t the best district, & we’ll likely try and move our kids out for middle school, but I genuinely feel like Jt Stevens is a really great choice from my personal experience. We’ll have our kids there thru fifth grade unless we sell our house before then, which isn’t the plan!Parent Review1mo ago - Wedgwood Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe Principal is often leaving for the day early...like 10 AM. The VP is overloaded, but tries to be as helpful as possible. Communication between parents and administrators is severely lacking...as in non-existent. If you're waiting for a call back, don't. If you're not standing in front of them, you're not a priority. Parents, be aware that scare tactics are being used in assemblies on a regular basis as a method of trying to get better test scores. It was confirmed to me by an administrator, who seemed to value this tactic. Apparently this is now acceptable. Most of the teachers here are huge assets to their profession, and it shows. They encourage and challenge kids to learn and grow. These are educators who have a passion for what they do, and they are what makes me glad that my child is there.Parent Review6y ago - Check out schools near 6400 Winn St.

"If you can go downtown during lulls in traffic it is about 15 minutes. Otherwise expect to spend 20 to 30 in heavy traffic. It all depends on what time you leave for work! This is driving to downtown Fort Worth!!"

"I dont see people walking their dogs because I work during the day so by the time I get to the house it is too hot to he looking and lurking out my windows to see who is or who is not walking their antimals. I see people walking at certain times when I am in my vehicle going to work to where I cannot see anyone walking in my neighborhood during the day. in the evening most normal people are inside their dwelling and either sitting down having family dinner or helping their children with their school work. I do not have any kids, but I can imagine I would be inside and notice I am saying INSIDE....I am not concerned about the ongoing of outside when I am inside because this is a quiet and safe neighborhood. thank you for your time"

"Mid century modern homes and mid century ranches galore, Wedgwood is a great neighborhood! Very quiet and safe, the homes are somewhat affordable and don't stay on the market long. Developed in 1960’s, with almost every street name starting with W, the winding streets of Wedgwood are known for its extensive collection of mid-century modern, California-inspired, contemporary homes. Wedgwood’s Kneer and Hamm designed homes are highly sought after and many are eligible for historic landmark designation. With the TEXRail project coming to Wedgwood, property value continue to soar."
