2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSadly this whole district is a dumpster. They're building a whole new neighborhood and the students that are already enrolled don't even have teachers in the classroom. There's a lockdown every month. They allow sagging, piercing starting with the principal, he has earrings in his ears and that's completely unprofessional. Try calling the school you WILL NEVER get anyone to answer. There's fights every week. District needs to step out up we have teachers quitting every month. Don't enroll your child here. As I'm waiting to pick up my child at the front office one of the white counselors told a student she only had 3 minutes to listen to wherever she has to say. I feel terrible that those counselors aren't doing their job. Many kids suffer depression anxiety and all this lady had was 3 minutes.Parent Review1y ago - Charles Baxter J High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool doesn't provide a safe learning environment. Bullying and physical assult is completely overlooked. Law enforcement has to be involved before the school does anything.Parent Review1y ago - E Ray Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the first year all 3 of my kids start this school. I have to say I am very surprised at how wonderful everyone is. My kids are all happy and really looking forward to going to school. The teachers are great and the principal is always so nice and everyone is always there to help. The school is very big on security, with the things going on now a days this is a great thing. I am very thankful and happy to have found a great school for my kids.Parent Review9y ago - Dan Powell Intermediate School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe best school I have ever experienced. Often times you won't see teachers leaving the school until 8 at night working on curriculum. The principal is FANTASTIC, she genuinely loves the students and knows most of the students by name. This school goes above and beyond to ensure that each student has supplies to get work done even if the child can't afford them they always ensure that each student has enough. The staff is involved with the families and ensures that Dan Powell is a place where kids can feel safe, and comfortable to try and excel. I don't think anyone could run the school better than Mya Asberry, these kids are getting the absolute best you would not know from the scores, the curriculum or the teachers that this was a title I school. GREAT JOB DAN POWELL!Other Review7y ago - Check out schools near 216 Berkshire Ln.

"Living on Camelot street now and it is so busy. We have had multiple car break ins and random egging of our house and cars. Living on the less busy streets may be better but we will be looking into a different neighborhood. "

"We live 1 block from the city park/train tracks & we have tons of rats every where all sizes. Opposums, foxes. Wasnt sure if our rental house was just having a rat issue so we talked to our neighbors & from what they say everybody here has rats its a normal thing. Also we have lived here for almost a year & I've never seen anyone talking with thier neighbor. No one even waves or speaks (Natalie Dr.)"

"Currently live here. Most homes are not maintained. Semi trucks parked in yard, cars up on blocks in a yard. Trash from one home is thrown over fence. Kids running out in front of cars with no adult supervision. Most are rental homes I believe and appears to me that some are rent controlled homes. Safety is a huge concern with property damage and break in attempted."

"Mostly a quiet area, with a lot of nearby shopping and eating options: Wal-Mart, multiple fast food places, Burleson is close by for going to the theater and family dining. This is not a great area if you're looking for upscale dining and shopping, but it's great for day-to-day living, visiting the park, jogging around the neighborhood, walking the dog, etc. Very safe place to live, there are people around all the time. Very diverse culture in the area. People are friendly but not nosy. We've been very happy living here for 14 years!"

"I JUST BOUGHT A HOUSE IN THIS AREA AND IT IS VERY QUIET AND COMFORTABLE. MY HOUSE IS HUGE AND I GOT AN AMAZING VALUE FOR MY DOLLAR. EVERY HOUSE ON MY STREET AS WELL AS THE NEXT 8 BLOCKS IN EVERY DIRECTION ARE AMAZINGLY MANICURED BUT MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS MY NEIGHBORS ON ALL 3 SIDES HAVE ANNOYINGLY LOUD DOGS!! I RESEARCHED THE AREA THOROUGHLY BEFORE MOVING IN AND IT'S A GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD."
