N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis has been a good school and my son has learned a lot with the teachers he has had so far. The staff is courteous and well mannered. I however would love for so many of the parents to learn from this example as well. Parents are disrespectful and do not always follow guidelines. Drop off and pick up times are a mess and this is due mainly to adults not following rules. They park wherever its "convenient" for them so that they don't have to walk with no regards for anyone else around them. People do not follow the speed limit warnings and all this just makes what should be a normal experience into such a headache.Parent Review11y ago - Mission Early College High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a senior at Mission Early College High School. My main concern with MECHS is the incessant push to attend UTEP. It is apparent that going to another university is discouraged. I have also found a problem with some of the teachers. Most teachers at MECHS are extremely dedicated to their students. However, there are a handful of teachers that do not care and do a very poor job at teaching. One time, I had a final exam that was prepared and graded by a teacher's hand-picked group of favorites. Worse, the office did nothing about it. At MECHS, teachers have authority, and the office does not engage in the affairs of the classroom. So in reality, teachers are left to their own devices. What I find most worrisome about MECHS is the have, have-not divide between the students. Those who graduated EPCC early and are enrolled in UTEP their senior year are heavily favored and are given blatant special treatment. However, despite the negatives, this school attempts to blend the structure of high school with the freedoms of college. The administration respects and trusts the students. Overall, this school is overhyped, but it has some very bright spots.Student Review13y ago - Ssg Manuel R Puentes

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy tenure at Pebble Hills High School, beginning in my sophomore year and continuing through my senior year, has been marked by repeated instances of discrimination, particularly against African American students. This environment of hostility has been perpetuated not only by the student body but also by the administration, manifesting in forms such as bullying and overt disrespect. This school, in my experience, is not conducive to those who may be grappling with mental health issues. It seems to provoke until a breaking point is reached, only to then label the provoked party as the aggressor. I have personally experienced an incident where a male teacher, who is white, confronted me aggressively, to the point where another teacher had to intervene(I HAVE VIDEO EVIDENCE) .Despite being a female student, my complaint about this incident was not taken seriously until escalated to the school board and law enforcement. However, the offending teacher remains employed at the school. The staff, in my observation, tends to side with each other, even when it's clear that they should not. They appear to oppose the student unless the school district becomes involved, a step that should not be necessary. In conclusion, I find Pebble Hills High School to be an institution that is failing in its duty to provide a safe and nurturing environment for its students. I would not recommend it to anyone, and I rate my experience there as zero out of five stars.Student Review3mo ago - Cactus Trails Elementary School
