Th special kids, i feel are okay not 100% though. Their Teachers yell and or fuss at them.Student Review10mo ago - Duncanville High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had 4 kids to graduate from Duncanville with the 5th being a senior this year. I have nothing but praise for the school. My disappointment lies with parents who fail to train their children at home and expect the school to do it for them. Despite this, I have had nothing but success. My kids have been accepted to major universities, scored very well on standardized tests and had a good school experience. I have seen their peers accept appointments to the Naval Academy, Penn, UT Austin and Texas A&M with all having graduated undergrad and moving on to grad school or working within their selected profession (nursing, education, ect..). The school has exceptional opportunities for students to learn and travel abroad. If the student is willing to put in the work, the sky is the limit. Teachers and administrators are top notch and very supportive of their students' goals. Make no mistake, the curriculum is not a cakewalk. As long as the student is willing to put in the work and parents are prepared to be engaged in the process you will find that the staff is right there with you every step of the way.Parent Review1y ago - Clint Q Smith Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNot a bad school per se. My kid is in all AP classes and that's the only way I think she would have been challenged. The band program is decent however I think the parental engagement could use work. My daughter likes it here and any time there were any issues whether behavior or environmental, I was always communicated with. The teachers here don't just engage with parents when the kids do something wrong, I've also gotten communication on how well my kid is doing which ALWAYS feels good. For the parents or students who are having less than expected results from this school, I'd encourage you to look at the input you're contributing to. What can you do to improve your experience, it truly is a group effort. Teachers and administrators have a huge responsibility and job to fulfill but so do us as parentsParent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 419 Rock Rose Dr.

"I have lived here since 2017 and I absolutely love this neighborhood. It's quite, friendly, safe and very child friendly. There is never any crime and you hardly ever hear emergency sirens. Every single neighbor has been wonderful and polite except one. "

"Best place to live in DC. It’s a beautiful neighborhood that is urban but not downtown. It’s all about the park and trail, tons of restaurants, things to do, grocery stores, markets, bar. Has its own metro in easy walking distance and a trail that connect you to the east side of the city. "

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway).
