3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had 4 kids to graduate from Duncanville with the 5th being a senior this year. I have nothing but praise for the school. My disappointment lies with parents who fail to train their children at home and expect the school to do it for them. Despite this, I have had nothing but success. My kids have been accepted to major universities, scored very well on standardized tests and had a good school experience. I have seen their peers accept appointments to the Naval Academy, Penn, UT Austin and Texas A&M with all having graduated undergrad and moving on to grad school or working within their selected profession (nursing, education, ect..). The school has exceptional opportunities for students to learn and travel abroad. If the student is willing to put in the work, the sky is the limit. Teachers and administrators are top notch and very supportive of their students' goals. Make no mistake, the curriculum is not a cakewalk. He is always wanting to make each day better than the one before. He is greeting every student every day before and after school. His staff is tremendous from coaches, core teachers, counselor, and elective teachers. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHighly, if you happen to place your child here than give Hyman an opportunity. My son started last year and I was wary about his new class. His teacher gave me an opportunity to sit in to converse on how she manage her classroom and teach her students. She made me feel very comfortable. Very..because I was opened minded with his new school. I also notice, the teacher support and volunteer their time to strive education. My son had an accident and she called me immediately. Thankfully, the nurse had extra clothes and pull ups for his undergarment. But I did my part and provided my time to be there for my son too. "If you don’t like walking your dog on a leash to you’ll fit right in around here. It’s not great because people like hauling it down side streets to avoid the constant construction that slows down the larger streets around here. But at least if your dog gets hit by a car it will probably die quickly thanks to the speed that people are driving. "

"You will 70% step on poop. Living in an apartment complex, there are plenty of owners who will allow their dog to defecate, pee and throw up in elevators and stairs. Irresponsible owners and sometimes untamed/unsocialized dogs. I would beware of coyotes and keep an eye out for scraps left by homeless people near the transit. "
