Elementary and Middle school lack leadership and teachers appear to lack training in pedagogical methods as well as connecting with diverse populations and students with special needs. Be careful if you are considering sending your children to this district if you are not fond of standardized testing. Too much focus may be being placed on passing the standardized exams and students are overwhelmed with daily homework, daily class work and with sometimes the absence of sound pedagogical teaching to help guide the students to the next conceptual level. Not all teachers lack training, but enough to be somewhat alarming. Many students appear to be totally stressed. Parents are also stressed. The sports program leaves one wondering,"where is your sports program?" This may be due to the fact that the district is still growing...

The high school is new. There are not enough electives and the kids just sit in a study hall instead. The teachers and class size are great and teachers really care about the kids and the school. Unfortunately there has been no consistent leadership and the current high schoolers are likely not going to be as competitive as their peers for college placement. Hopefully this will get worked out in a few years as the school matures. The cafeteria is subpar.

Extreme bullying and a very clique-centric culture. If your child is black try another school. Principals are aware of the level of bullying and try their best but the students here will destroy your child emotionally.
