4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI believe that the students that are making reviews on this school and are saying negative things are incorrect, I respect their opinions but I believe that it's the people that you hang out with who really make this school a dream. If you hang out with the wrong people you will be badly influenced and be seen as a bad person but if youre hanging out with people who respect you and treat you as nice as they treat everybody else then you can really say this is a good school. Our school does have problems with drugs and gangs but im confidently sure that every other school has problems like that too.Student Review6mo ago - Besteiro Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageReally bad experience with principal resolving issue with student and substitute...my son and I went for help and at the end nothing was done...I don't feel safe with my kids going to that school...instead of protecting kids there they protect staff so their school won't look bad...I will be changing them this coming year because of that reasonParent Review9y ago - Brownsville Early College High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBefore anything, check your legal status, and how will that affect you by the time you will graduate. They are not really forthcoming over that and will try their hardest to keep you in their school. What is better option, a normal high school or a small one? Be sure to be aware of what is better for the student so their experience can be the best!Student Review4y ago - Check out schools near 1693 El Matador Dr.

"I have lived here since 2017 and I absolutely love this neighborhood. It's quite, friendly, safe and very child friendly. There is never any crime and you hardly ever hear emergency sirens. Every single neighbor has been wonderful and polite except one. "

"Best place to live in DC. It’s a beautiful neighborhood that is urban but not downtown. It’s all about the park and trail, tons of restaurants, things to do, grocery stores, markets, bar. Has its own metro in easy walking distance and a trail that connect you to the east side of the city. "

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway). "20 minutes to town, one can go through downtown 25 mph or there are other roads through the countryside that have no lights and higher speed limits to get to the other end of town. 30 min to Carson City. One hour to Reno"

"Dogs that can’t be controlled by the owners. It puts you and your dog at risk because as you can imagine it’s larger dogs causing issues. Also people who may not live in your building walk dogs over in your area and leave feces."
