While there are some challenges at McCallum, it is a good school that offers students a range of different opportunities. Our son enjoyed the business courses. He also took advantage of many different opportunities for advanced learning, including AP and community college classes. My second son is currently a 10th grader at McCallum. He has enjoyed French and engineering, in addition to core classes. "A great area except for 3300 Hemlock. Its a cheap rental that brings a rotation of irresponsible losers into an otherwise nice family neighborhood. There's garbage, mattresses, abandoned furniture, couches, and all sort of unappealing crap in the front yard. A real eyesore and health risk. Apparently the Hide Park owner's don't seem to care about it. Really unfortunate for an otherwise great neighborhood. "
