So, really, there is the whole scope of the UT Austin community living here."

While a little farther than West Campus, North Campus is infinitely quieter and cleaner. However, it is pretty dark at night because of the lack of street lights, so I would definitely try to stay inside at night."

North Campus is very close to I-35, which has pretty bad traffic, and you kind of have to cut across town a bit to get on MoPac for faster access to North/South Austin.
