6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was born and raised in this county. I have 3 sons and this is the worst school I have ever stepped foot in. I have been to a lot of schools in this county. The way a school treats those with severe disabilities tells you the character of the school. This school allowed my special son to be pushed around in a baby stroller, made him clean pee off the floor, put him in time out in a sped bathroom and he hit his head on a wall and lost a tooth, gave him a ball to play on in sped and neglected him and he lost his two front permanent teeth, his one on one assistant was reported for indecent exposure and touching my son’s private area. The staff called and harassed me to pick up my son over and over. My son has had to go on homebound due to the trauma from this school. If you walk in this school the staff may put on a good show. However, I know what has happened to my son. I would be afraid to let any of my children go to this school.Parent Review5y ago - Stewarts Creek High School

"Commuting to Nashville is horrendous. I live 16 miles from my workplace, and it takes an hour to get there. My fiancé’s workplace is 23 miles from downtown Nashville and his commute is 1.5 hours. We liked living in Murfreesboro but Smyrna isn’t doing well and so many businesses are closing. People here are rude and trashy, do yourself a favor and move to Nashville. "

"trick or treating, all the kids play outside together and ride bikes. Neighbours watch out for each other’s kids. I’ve lived here since 1996 so it’s been a good experience for my family. lots of local churches and community activities "

"Teach typical safety; people speed their cars more than I’d care for (but that’s not akin to this area specifically.) Very friendly, quaint, convenient. "

"The parks are well taken care of, but the only downside is a lot of the neighborhoods don’t have sidewalks."

"Typical for any suburb of Nashville. While the town of Smyrna isn’t busy, roads on or nearing the interstate will be during rush hour."

"My husband and I have recently relocated from out of state and are lucky enough to work from home so we don’t have to deal with commuting however we have been out during ‘rush hour’ and can say that although there is a little traffic it’s nothing that would cause any major delays or cause your blood pressure to skyrocket. We’ve moved from New York so our view of traffic might be a little skewed, traffic to us is brake lights as far as you can see paired with an extra 1-3 hours travel time. In the few months we’ve been here we haven’t witnessed any true traffic (by our definition). "
