Honestly this school might not be the best in the world, but its not nearly as bad as it’s made out to be. All that is needed to do good at this school is apply yourself. The teachers do a great job, and I have been able to maintain a Grade average of 98.9 and get A’s on finals in APs. All you have to do is try. It’s an overall great high school experience if you want it to be.

Worst school for academically challenged.Every fun and social event is ruled by grades & behavior (both).If a student is not passing a course for whatever reason - she will not be able to attend any fun or social event. Student development is both social and academic to name a few. So I will never get the ruling by an iron fist to make homework get in. Getting work done is all fixable by saying you can't do X if you don't finish X. So many issues are at play with so many different students. Yet the blanket approach is - do it or you can't go. This school gives public schools a very bad name. No exception for special Ed students... After 2 years here, I get why its one of the worst schools in the district.

Because this school helps kids learn the trade they want to do in life and learn life lessons as well.

A++++++++++ safe, secure, reliable, caring, and supportive

By far, this school is the only way to go in Chattanooga. These students are college ready before they complete their 9th grade, and they are living breathing college from day one. Absolutely no other school on this side of the state comes anywhere near the test scores or graduation rates. And a nice plus - the leadership and staff are a pleasure to work with. They know their stuff and treat our children as if they were theirs. I've looked to relocate with my job to other states, and I can tell you that a program this good is very, very rare indeed. This one school is worth staying here until they graduate and in the U of Tn system for another two years at least.

If your child is black or mixed avoid this school if you can. When major concerns are brought up nothing is done about it. No matter how much you complain and go off. Unfortunately this is the only school in this area for my kids and I wish it wasn’t. Instead of this town building new apartment buildings they need to build another school that’s diverse and is an actual anti bully school. I cry for my kids every day because of what they endure going here. My kids aren’t the only ones but I’m the one that doesn’t play about mine. I thought the principal was better than that but I was definitely wrong for thinking that. I should have known better. If I could remove my kids from Hamilton District completely I would.

same as everyone else. There are problems with the high school they don't really teach they just yell at the kids they just have a very boring "do this" and never actually get any learning.

For the 2015-2016 school year I have been extremely pleased with STEM school. The principal and staff members actually want their students to succeed. The class sizes are small, students take ownership of their work and other responsibilities, and the environment is exactly what I wanted for my son.
