Mountain Laurel Farm located in the quaint, picturesque town of Mountain City, Tennessee is an amazing 50 (+/-) acre farm with limitless potential!
Created and designed for sustainable living, there are no limitations as to what can be accomplished with this property. The family owned estate originally housed a private boarding school for children and is filled with pride of ownership. With special touches displayed from the handmade cabinetry, quality woodworking and sleeping porch to the unique, antique cooking stove transferred from Idaho, character radiates throughout this property. The main lodge provides over 6,400 square feet of gracious living space with high ceilings, a stone fireplace with built-ins, wood stove and walls of windows to capture the majestic mountain views from the double story covered front porch. Along with the open floor plan that will seamlessly host 50+ guests, there are currently 14 bedrooms/bunk rooms that were designed to accommodate the children. The interior walls can easily be reconfigured to create larger rooms and convert to a single family residence if desired. In addition to the main home there are other structures that provide caretaker and extended family accommodations. There is also a large open-air barn staged with a beautiful mountain backdrop that is perfect for hosting weddings and large gatherings. Additional features include a workshop garage, storage shed, stable, organic garden and chicken coop. This is a perfect multi-generational property in a tranquil, pastoral setting outlined with fenced pasture, a spring-fed creek that feeds the large pond upon entry and is surrounded with acres of forest for privacy. Whether you desire to own this property as a mountain lodge, private residence, a working cattle or equestrian farm, or as an investment property to host weddings, corporate, church or wellness living retreats, this property will not disappoint!

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAverage school with average falcuty and administration. No desire to encourage students to move up or do well. This school has a sort of "survival mode" vibe. The sanitary conditions are also lacking. It is my opinion that the cleaning staff just needs to be replaced with people who want to do their jobs.Other Review7y ago - Laurel Elementary School

"The place is amazing for family living . I could t ask for a nicer friendlier place to live and raise my kids and the schools are really good too "

"No public transportation even close to where I live, we actually commute to a different town for work and shopping because mountain city is so small and doesn’t have very many options. "

"There is a decent community, however not somewhere I want to live long term. Lots of people on drugs and very very poor area. Not to mention that the schools are not great either. "

"It is quiet and charming. Most of the residents take care of their yard well and have nice houses. It is set apart from Mountain City and has a beautiful nature view of the mountains. "
