My child is new to this school but having come from another good school to this one I can say that the family engagement is night and day better at this school. Our family has only been here for a month and already attended two after school events where as in a whole year at her prior school we would have attended the same number. Also, my child's grades are up since starting here. I like that Rutland has an auto email that is sent out each week to inform parents if a score falls under a certain percentage in order for it to be addressed and likewise, lets the parent know when a great score has been entered to celebrate! It's wonderful to have these tools in order to be proactive and supportive. Go Rockets!

This school is too strict with rules if you're one minute late go to Lunch detention and goach gains really rude even if you just ask a question and he trys to start problem to the students and same for holiday You can just feel the rasisim in this school won't recommend it they'll give you a hard time

My experience at this school was negative. Teachers failed effectively communicate with students and parents. Teachers also didn’t create a good relationships with the students and didn’t encourage them academically. Teachers have absolutely NO control over students resulting in disrespectful, immature, and to say the least, unacceptable behaviors from students at the school. It was an extremely toxic environment to kids and essentially destroyed the wellbeing of many children’s mental health. Although there were good things about this school, unfortunately the cons outweigh the pros. This school failed my family countless times and we had to make the decision to remove ourselves from the West Wilson community after only one year. To the say the least I was highly disappointed in the school and wouldn’t recommend this school to any parents. We are countlessly failing our children and teaching them that what they are experiencing at school is the reality of the real world, it isn’t. West Wilson has ruined any innocence left in the kids.
