5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child just completed his first year of Kindergarten at PES and we had nothing but positive experiences. His teacher was awesome and always kept in touch about everything, she would even take the time to call just to let us know how well behaved our child is. I wouldn't have changed a single thing about his first year of school thanks to PES.Parent Review5y ago - Powell High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student here with autism and depression, this school cares more about image than the kids actually learning. On my IEP it’s said that I’m supposed to have a co teacher in every class I’m in, and they don’t plan on following it at all if my schedule for next semester is true. Aside from one class I have all F’s and I’m afraid I’ll keep getting F’s even in things I can do well like math. Beside that when there’s a lock down we’re never told why.Student Review1y ago - Powell Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m in 8th grade going to this school. The teachers are mostly nice, though there a few rude ones. For the past 3 years, all the math teachers i’ve had are awful. they aren’t mean or anything, they just were terrible terrible at teaching math. This may just be my experience, some of my friends like there math teacher this year/ones from later years. people in my year are pretty rude, but again just my personal experience. some rules are quite stupid, like not being able to use your phone ANYWHERE in the school. Not at lunch, not when you get all your work done, not in the halls. the bathrooms are clean, the whole school is pretty clean (other then the rat i’m 7th grade in the choir room.)If you (or your kid) go to this school, say hi to me Hogen for me:D (he’s the choir teacher, and the best teacher in the whole school)Student Review1y ago - Check out schools near 6321 Clinton Hwy.

"It’s quite small and centered between route 210, Waldorf, and National Harbor. Most living here are families with good jobs. Also it has become an area with steady growth in the surrounding commercial zoning locations due to the increase in residential property development. It’s a budding location with a lot of potential to offer its current and future residents."

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway).
