2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAustin-East magnet high school has one of the best community feelings to it. We are here to learn. If there was actual good focus on us and care given to us many of my classmates will be better, but the county neglects us because of the narrative that we are a trash school. Could a trash school get state awards for theater? Could a trash school have the 74th EVER JROTC program running? Could a trash school be allowed to run as a magnet school? Could a trash school have one its current principles have won the National University Teacher Award? The answer is no. We are just deemed the bad school so then the news has someone to bash. Something could happen numerous blocks away from the school, but the news comes outside our school and says it happened right here. While if it was any other school and something happened just a few blocks away that school is not bashed. We are treated as a bad school cause the news says so.Student Review2y ago - Spring Hill Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy husband I messed up. While house hunting last year I was always vigilant in checking the school district first. Then one weekend I didn't check the district's for the houses we were going to see. Fell in love with the house but we're now stuck here. I will definitely be home schooling for middle and we plan to sell this place before my kids reach High school. No way in hell would I send them to Fulton. We thought the Elementary school wouldn't be so bad. Until my then 8 year old daughter came home in the first week in tears. She was shunned and bullied because she's smart and soft spoken. Straight A honor roll student. A group of girls made fun of her and told her they won't be her friend because she's white. Seriously. Up until that point she and her older brother by a year were unaware that racism is a thing. Tried to email and call the teacher about it and never got a response. I'm absolutely disgusted. My two older ones have been going here since April 2017 and my youngest will be starting Kindergarten in August. Hopefully we can move before then.Parent Review5y ago - Whittle Springs Middle School

"Harvest park is a great park and target is right around the corner. Also an affordable and beautiful area. Great to walk dogs, as well. I would recommend visiting the target strip mall in Washington pike. "

"East Knoxville, specifically in the Sprill Hill/Alice Bell area is very low-crime, peaceful and picturesque. On the eastern edge of the neighborhood is a bunch of shopping with a Walmart, Sam's Club, Food City and East Town Mall. Also restaurants like Texas Roadhouse, Cracker Barrell, Fast Food options and two movie theatres within two miles. Just outside the neighborhood 1 mile to the east is a natural spring that comes out into Loves Creek near the park on Loves Creek Road."

"I live in the Mulberry Square neighborhood and think it is a wonderful place to live. It is very convenient to downtown / UT, Fountain City, and Forks of the River Industrial Park. New Harvest Park is close by which has a Farmers Market every Thursday in addition to walking trails and a splash pad for the young at heart. There is also plenty of shopping at the strip mall off Washington Pike (including Target, Old Navy, and Bed Bath and Beyond). Mulberry Square is also on the bus route with a bus stop at the neighborhood entrance. "
