2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAustin-East magnet high school has one of the best community feelings to it. We are here to learn. If there was actual good focus on us and care given to us many of my classmates will be better, but the county neglects us because of the narrative that we are a trash school. Could a trash school get state awards for theater? Could a trash school have the 74th EVER JROTC program running? Could a trash school be allowed to run as a magnet school? Could a trash school have one its current principles have won the National University Teacher Award? The answer is no. We are just deemed the bad school so then the news has someone to bash. Something could happen numerous blocks away from the school, but the news comes outside our school and says it happened right here. While if it was any other school and something happened just a few blocks away that school is not bashed. We are treated as a bad school cause the news says so.Student Review2y ago - Sarah Moore Greene Elementary / Magnet

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a parent and a volunteer new to Sarah Moore Greene this year. Please don't take too much stock in old reviews. I sent my child to this school by choice- we had other options, but after a couple visits, SMG was the clear fit. The deciding factor for me was the culture. Students walk up to you and tell you about their work. The atmosphere is positive, filled with pride and compassion. These are the values I want my child to develop in school. I look forward to the coming years.Parent Review5y ago - Vine Middle/Magnet

"Nothing at all. I wouldn’t want too many kids out anyways. There are too many crackheads and prostitutes out here. And the crime rate is high. We’ve had two kids steal multiple things from us and throw stuff in our yards and throw firework bombs at my house."
