7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has greatly declined over the past 5-7 years. A high number of teachers have transferred to other schools. The new administration seems overwhelmed with issues relating to this community. Students with special needs are not accepted and accommodated well! This school does not handle diversity at all!!! The environment does not incorporate positive reinforcement at all!!!Parent Review1y ago - Sam E. Hill Primary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal, Debbie Sayers. is lazy and uncommunicative. Emails are ignored by parents and she provides zero engagement let alone activism in taking care of her students. Bathrooms are unusable and dangerous: toilet paper and paper towel dispensers have been missing for months. Not days, MONTHS!! The most basic elements of a high school are lacking far and wide at Bearden High. What once was a prideful school in Knoxville is nothing more than a typical East Tennessee embarrassment.Parent Review2y ago - West Valley Middle School

"Lots of local amenities and fun things to do. There are multiple breweries, restaurants, and novelty snack places to try "

"The city as a whole has becoming increasingly “sketchy” throughout. It still has good parts but even those areas are not as good as what they were 8 years ago. I’d suggest doing some strong research."

"People walking their dogs friendly around the neighborhood and casually talking and being helpfully involved with one another. Seeing a smile on the pets and owners faces! "

"Fourth and Gill is walkable, and located a short distance from downtown Knoxville. The neighborhood is quite charming with old Victorian and Craftsman houses. "
- Jennifer Langhammer

"Someone tried to break into our house once while we were home. And raccoons tear up our garbage bins every week. Lots of homeless people waking around and speeding cars "
- Danyel Henley

"We live on the water and we get to see a lot of boats/yachts go by. We are also close to campus so there is still a youthful vibe to the neighborhood. Knoxville has some of the best sunsets around, and being so close to downtown has made it easy to socialize. I would recommend better access to public transportation, but aside from that, this is a lovely place to live."
