8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHey there. I'm a Sophomore and my high school experience so far has been pretty great at SHHS. Here are some pros and cons:Pros:• Tons of classes• Good Teachers• A TON of clubs and extracurriculars• An impressive amount of diversity for a school in the area• Good infrastructure and lots of resources• In-School Therapy• Accepting — Most religious beliefs are accepted here, and the school is 50/50 conservative and liberalCons:• Some of the bathrooms are really bad• Food is average at best• Vaping is common and drugs are easy to find if you look• Some amenities are not available due to theft• Fights are relatively commonOverall this is a great public high school, and I would definitely recommend it.Student Review1y ago - South Side Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIndian Trail has the best school climate of all the schools in Johnson City. Both of my kids have gone through there (one is currently a student) and Indian Trail has been their favorite school. I read the negative comments and I feel like it’s the same person trolling the school. It really sounds like a disgruntled student because the things they are saying doesn’t even apply. Bottom line is that Indian Trail is a great student.Parent Review1y ago - Liberty Bell Middle School

"We have both worked from home/remotely since 2020 so we no longer commute north. The neighborhood is great for working from home and the internet speeds are optimum for our professional and our personal use. "

"it's pretty rural, so there aren't too many "community events". we do have a very tight community spirit though. "

"I guess all in all its like most other neighborhoods any more. You have your good and bad. There is a elementary school down the road. There is a college a couple of gad stations and a dollar store so a few conveniences but it is busy on the main road. The local volunteer fire department is very active and seem friendly. The crime rate locally does seem higher but I think it is increasing everywhere. People seem to leave you alone if you don't bother them maybe if you socialized they would but I don't have kids so I can't speak on that."

"I've lived here in this neighborhood and area all my life and it's so convenient to walk to the VA hospital and kawanis Park and Church and restaurants and shopping is so close and people are veryfriendly and I walk to the park and store with my grandson and pet and neibors watch out for others and have fun at kawanis Park and lots of festivities from ballgames to fireworks and different things. I've ran all over the neighborhood even in the middle of the night chasing my doggie when she gets out and feel safe."
