6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVery homered my grandchildren Bruce's and nephews attend East Side elementary Dr. Josh Wandell and his staff are amazing Greet every child with a smile call them by name has a little joke with them upon exiting their car going into school Just to start the child's day off with a smile and on an upbeat note Nothing but praise for this school and leadershipOther Review9y ago - Elizabethton High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a former student I can say I had a great experience. Sure there are Cliques but there are cliques in EVERY school. Nothing new there. The large majority of the teachers seem to genuinely care about the students. For a mid sized school they offer a lot of programs and clubs and extracurricular activities.Something for everyone really. Its a nice school and a nice environment.Student Review10y ago - T A Dugger Junior High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has been at this school for 2 years now and at first it seemed like a pretty good school, but as time went on I realized this school doesn't really do what they say they will do when you go to the welcome orientation at the beginning of each year, my son has never gotten in trouble or had a grade lower than a B since he's been in school until he started T.A Dugger Jr high, he says he doesn't feel safe in the school because other kids talk about shooting the place up and kids bring weapons to school and when reported nothing gets done. My son was getting bullied by some kids and when he stood up for himself he got suspended. The principal told a completely different story than what my son and some other kids told me that hadn't even talked to my son. I've heard from several different parents that they have experienced the same thing with their kid (s). I really think this school needs to take the safety of our children more seriously than they do, regardless if the threat is real or not I believe they should treat all threats as if they were real, and the bullying needs attention as well, how can a kid focus on their education if they feel unsafe in any way or they are being bullied by another student or staff member.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 130 Pine Knot Ln.

"We have both worked from home/remotely since 2020 so we no longer commute north. The neighborhood is great for working from home and the internet speeds are optimum for our professional and our personal use. "

"I guess all in all its like most other neighborhoods any more. You have your good and bad. There is a elementary school down the road. There is a college a couple of gad stations and a dollar store so a few conveniences but it is busy on the main road. The local volunteer fire department is very active and seem friendly. The crime rate locally does seem higher but I think it is increasing everywhere. People seem to leave you alone if you don't bother them maybe if you socialized they would but I don't have kids so I can't speak on that."
