As a former teacher myself coming from Southeast Tennessee to Fairview - the difference between one child’s elementary experience and this one’s is drastic. My daughter is very well prepared and performs above average in math and reading. The teachers work their tails off and the transition from year to year is seamless. The uphill battles are the constant feeding of lower income talk, the lack of parental follow through and holding their children accountable, the staff and faculty who have graduated from FvHS, allowing the students, particularly the football players and JROTC, to act out, sometimes aggressively, towards their counterparts. Until and when there is an overhaul within this school; fresh ideas outside of Fairview, there will be no change, the status quo will be followed. Teachers writing students English papers, students doing as they wish without accountability, administration being ignored by teachers - all of this and more will perpetuate the cycle of churning out broken people, who in turn create more broken people. "I LOVE the neighborhood and great curb appeal but neighbor dog didnt stop barking the whole time we were there and agent told me when she showed this home before the dog wouldnt stop barking. Beautiful home though."

"It’s not bad. There’s only one main road where all of the shops and restaurants are, so everything is very easy to find. The rest of the town is backroads and neighbourhoods"

"Most of Fairview is very safe, but I would not let kids play outside of the apartment complexes. Multiple kids have already gotten hit by cars"

"Fairview is a wonderful place to live. The Meadows is perfect for singles, first time home owners and families w/ 0 - 2 children. Every unit in this subdivision, has at lease two flights of stairs. Most retirees aren't big fans of stairs. However, the size of these homes combined with their pricetag makes The Meadows very attractive."
