We are new to this school, but it has been an amazing experience so far.

Collierville High School was created to be a fantastic school, but those expectations have failed. The school is overcrowded, forcing students to shove each other in order to get to class. I have met very few teachers whom actually enjoy teaching, as well as enjoy respecting students. If you are not an outgoing, rowdy, talkative student, this school will not support you well. Those who disrupt class are favored while the few who actually want to learn are forgotten. Teachers do not care much for circumstances out of a student's control - they often judge before getting to know each individual. Harsh punishments are given where warnings should be handed out, and little is done to care for the mental health of the student body.

This school disgusts me. After both of my children attended for over a year, they were both denied entry after being registered. I ended up having to enroll my children in another school. They also tried to fail my daughter “twice.” They called me into a teachers conference right before my daughter was about to take the TCAP and wanted me to convince her to be the “leader of the third grade” the next year. They told me that they knew my daughter wasn’t going to pass TCAP. Well guess what? She did pass TCAP! The school is incompetent! My daughter is much better off not attending a school that didn’t believe in her anyway. Do not send your child here.
