3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageKenwood Highschool has gone downhill. The Principal does not know how to effectively do testing schedules, and the admin make a mess out of event planning on the calendar. The Kids are more disrespectful then the usual at a normal highschool and violence is often normal here. Fights break out very often sometimes over the smallest things. Its not a safe environment and quite frankly the school needs a whole new admin team or for CMCSS to do something. A Plus side however is how they handle students with special needs. The students won't respect each other or teachers but they dont bully or make fun of the kids who might need special help. Well at least not to their face. Although the school handles special needs well and does their best at making adjustments to further their education, the schools environment ruins it. As their are almost no role models in this school. If you are interested in this school based off of athletics, the bowling team has had a better 2024 season then most other sports. During a basketball game people had to be escorted out. the schools athletics are not as impressive as they would make you love to believe. Most of the trophies in the display case are from about 10-30 years ago. The teachers are certified and qualified to be teaching however the school does not make their job easy with the Odd student distribution among classes. A Teacher has a class with 5 students while her other period is full with about 30 students. The class sizes are not huge and even if they do get large, there's a good chance at least 5 wont show up on any given day.Back to the topic of the principal, if you want someone who knows what they are doing then this is not the school for your child or you. Often teachers are confused by his actions or are annoyed by his lack of critical thinking, or some of his ideas. More often than not he doesn't quite think things through. Through some of his recent actions he is suspected to also have a gender bias. He held a meeting with just the fathers then scheduled a meeting for the mothers on a day where all the mothers would be busy (Valentines Day). Its not confirmed but suspected.Student Review1mo ago - Glenellen Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids went here for a year and a half, a kindergartner and the end of 3rd grade through 4th grade. The kids here are disrespectful and there is a huge lack of opportunity for parents to be involved in the school. My two kids who love school fought with me to go each day. Another issue is teachers don’t deal with disruptive students appropriately. So much distraction in the class leads to the students who want to be there not getting a good education- inclusion clearly isn’t working in all classes. So glad we left this district.Parent Review6mo ago - Kenwood Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers and administrators truly care about the students. It is not just about test scores but about the whole child.Parent Review7y ago - Check out schools near 459 Bamburg Dr.
