4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI personally enjoy my experience at this school, but not as a student. As a classmate, and friend - yes! The people who go to this school are very intelligent and are going to amazing places, but our school system is horrible. There are so many problems I have suggested we fix, but then whoever I talk to will laugh in my face. Other students and I have tried to rally together to fight the school system but there is not much we can do when the administrators have the final say. If you are not in a Sport, JROTC or Band you are treated unfairly. Teachers actively make fun of clubs and our school news channel doesn't talk about how the students are being treated by teachers and administration because they are not allowed to. The coaches in this school, the Army Instructors and the band director are the only teachers I feel as though I can trust. Counselors are practically useless and are used as schedulers instead of doing the job they were hired for. Anyone in Administration will ignore you and degrade you for asking for help. This school has some serious problems that I think students know how to fix, but will ultimately be ignored.Student Review3y ago - Red Bank Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a recent Sequoyah High School graduate and I have to say this is the best high school. The teachers are great, the guidance counselor is awesome and so helpful, even down the the nurse being an awesome person and so caring and helpful. I went into Sequoyah because the former principal Mr. Jackson (he retired 2019.) had the inkling that I would be able to bring up my grades and do good at Sequoyah. And I was able to. I went from failing 3 out of I believe 5 of my classes at my old high school my freshman year because the school that I previously went to was just that bad, teachers and student wise to having all A’s and B’s my sophomore year and continued on to get straight A’s my junior and senior year. This school helped me succeed not only as a student but as a human in general. I was taught so many things from the teachers and not just learning material. I was taught kindness, integrity, and other strong foundations for going off into the “adult” world. If you are thinking of sending your child to Sequoyah, please do because it is the best school with the best staff. I love and miss this school very much.Other Review4y ago - Chattanooga School for Arts and Sciences Csas Uppe

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSome of the teachers at this school shows no patience with kids. They have been known to show frustration for the smallest things a kid does. The way they handle conflict resolution is not acceptable to all.Parent Review7mo ago - Chattanooga State Mid College High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBy far, this school is the only way to go in Chattanooga. These students are college ready before they complete their 9th grade, and they are living breathing college from day one. Absolutely no other school on this side of the state comes anywhere near the test scores or graduation rates. And a nice plus - the leadership and staff are a pleasure to work with. They know their stuff and treat our children as if they were theirs. I've looked to relocate with my job to other states, and I can tell you that a program this good is very, very rare indeed. This one school is worth staying here until they graduate and in the U of Tn system for another two years at least.Parent Review5y ago - Hamilton County Virtual School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagesame as everyone else. There are problems with the high school they don't really teach they just yell at the kids they just have a very boring "do this" and never actually get any learning.Parent Review1y ago - STEM School Chattanooga

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFor the 2015-2016 school year I have been extremely pleased with STEM school. The principal and staff members actually want their students to succeed. The class sizes are small, students take ownership of their work and other responsibilities, and the environment is exactly what I wanted for my son.Parent Review8y ago - Check out schools near 3605 Forest Highland Dr.

"Chattanooga has good and bad parts of town. There are tons of things to do as a family or single/married couple. Good restaurants and lots of outdoor activities. The school system is not good unless you luck out and get to go to a private or charter school. The schools are old, run down and in need of a ton of work but most of the teachers/staff are usually really nice and care about the kids. "
