4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe understand that bullying will exist regardless of what school children attend - what we do not understand is why it is allowed to continue after being brought to the attention of the school administration and teachers. The office staff is unhelpful and good luck trying to get them to answer a call. This is a school where the teachers that our children had, one in particular, was simply teaching for an easy paycheck and summers off (my assumption based on her performance). When questioned about their accountability and classroom events, the teacher would quickly changed the subject to "issues" our child was causing in the classroom. These "issues" occured on "many different occasions in the prior weeks" but it was not brought to our attention until we address issues that our child was coming home to tell us about. When speaking with the principal, they principal even agreed that it was inappropriate to address the issues in the manner she did and it made it seem like it was only a way to get the focus off of her. I cannot recommend highly enough to NOT attend this school if you can manage it. I believe that the superintendent over this school however is great and will be working on correcting the issues, but until that time - try to get into a different school.Parent Review1y ago - Red Bank High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI personally enjoy my experience at this school, but not as a student. As a classmate, and friend - yes! The people who go to this school are very intelligent and are going to amazing places, but our school system is horrible. There are so many problems I have suggested we fix, but then whoever I talk to will laugh in my face. Other students and I have tried to rally together to fight the school system but there is not much we can do when the administrators have the final say. If you are not in a Sport, JROTC or Band you are treated unfairly. Teachers actively make fun of clubs and our school news channel doesn't talk about how the students are being treated by teachers and administration because they are not allowed to. The coaches in this school, the Army Instructors and the band director are the only teachers I feel as though I can trust. Counselors are practically useless and are used as schedulers instead of doing the job they were hired for. Anyone in Administration will ignore you and degrade you for asking for help. This school has some serious problems that I think students know how to fix, but will ultimately be ignored.Student Review3y ago - Red Bank Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBy far, this school is the only way to go in Chattanooga. These students are college ready before they complete their 9th grade, and they are living breathing college from day one. Absolutely no other school on this side of the state comes anywhere near the test scores or graduation rates. And a nice plus - the leadership and staff are a pleasure to work with. They know their stuff and treat our children as if they were theirs. I've looked to relocate with my job to other states, and I can tell you that a program this good is very, very rare indeed. This one school is worth staying here until they graduate and in the U of Tn system for another two years at least.Parent Review5y ago - Hamilton County Virtual School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagesame as everyone else. There are problems with the high school they don't really teach they just yell at the kids they just have a very boring "do this" and never actually get any learning.Parent Review1y ago - STEM School Chattanooga

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFor the 2015-2016 school year I have been extremely pleased with STEM school. The principal and staff members actually want their students to succeed. The class sizes are small, students take ownership of their work and other responsibilities, and the environment is exactly what I wanted for my son.Parent Review8y ago - Check out schools near 1838 Seven Pines Ln #47.

"Chattanooga has good and bad parts of town. There are tons of things to do as a family or single/married couple. Good restaurants and lots of outdoor activities. The school system is not good unless you luck out and get to go to a private or charter school. The schools are old, run down and in need of a ton of work but most of the teachers/staff are usually really nice and care about the kids. "
