  • Trulia User
"Arlington is a small, charming community that came into existence in the early/mid 1800s. It was built around the train depot. The heart of town is now known as Depot Square. Many new homes have been built in Arlington in the last 10 years making Arlington an upscale, bedroom community. People have flocked to the area to escape the higher taxes and crime of Memphis in search of a quiet, safe place to raise their children, or retire. There is not much, if any , night life. So, if that's your thing, Arlington may not be for you. However; the neighbors are great, the countryside is beautiful, the schools are outstanding. If those things are important to you, It truly is a great place to live!"

"Arlington is a great town in northeast Shelby County with a growing population, great schools, and a small town charm that is hard to find anywhere else. It has all the basic needs of a family (i.e. churches, Kroger, McDonald's, and a great local restaurant called "Brendalay's) and is only 15 minutes away from the Wolfchase area, where there are tons of entertainment. It is a gem in Shelby County."
