6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCar lines at this school are horrible. I’ve almost been t-boned twice, both entering and exiting the school. My child is being bullied to the point of crying not wanting to go to school. I’ve spoken to the teachers, principal, assistant principal, resource officers etc and had plans in place to take action but they have failed to keep my son’s safe and comfortable. Inappropriate language written in bathroom stalls. A child with a vape trying to get other children to use it. Fighting at recess. Staff doesn’t pay attention (but would rather talk to each other or on phone) than to watch for any dangers or bullying over ANY CHILD that need to be more supervised especially when they have been told REPEATEDLY who he/she is ESPECIALLY!!! There’s no excuse for bullying even when I’ve tried and tried but they still don’t care about the kids that are in harms way. It’s just a job to them!!I would seek another school to send any child to than OAKLAND ELEMENTARY!!Parent Review1y ago - Boiling Springs High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI recently retired from BSHS. I taught for 44 years in SC, the last 17 at BSHS in the English Department. There is no other faculty greater than those who teach at BSHS. They are trained in the most current research based instructional strategies, they are caring, supportive of the administration, knowledgeable of their content, and believe the needs of our students are their first priority. These are just some of their qualities. We have MANY clubs and organizations as well as special clubs on Wednesday for all students and these clubs were created when our concern was that the student body was growing and we wanted every student to have a personal connection with an adult at our school. I taught kids how to make friendship bracelets! I always had at least 40 kids in attendance. Our principal Zach McQuigg and his administration team are smart, proactive , strong communicators and have high expectations for their faculty, support staff, and students! Lots of opportunities for kids to get involved, a good selection of AP courses, and an outstanding Fine Arts Department!Other Review7mo ago - Boiling Springs Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a current seventh grader at BSMS and I do not enjoy this school. I moved from Pennsylvania to this school which was a big culture shock to me. People didnt welcome me kindly! Also the curriculum isn't good! I am learning everything that I learned last year again! I am in honor classes and the education is still very slow. Some of the teachers are good at what they do but many don't know what they are doing! I wouldn't recommend this school! There are so many fights at this school and many other things go on that shouldn't be happening in middle school! I get bullied constantly and the teachers/staff don't do anything about it!Other Review10y ago - Boiling Springs Intermediate School

"safe and quiet but not a lot of sites and places, to go to a single store takes 20 minutes and 30 to my school. this place also has a lot of trees, so much you are literally surrounded by trees. There are a lot of mountains and fresh air. If you are looking for something to do there is things like hiking trails, parks, and trampoline parks but that is mainly it unless you live downtown."

"Although a nice stretch of road, New Cut Road has turned into a very busy route. It's rare that a vehicle ISN'T driving by at least every 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or so, and they aren't concerned about how fast they're actually traveling. New parents beware: my first year living at this location, I've witnessed no less than 3 single car accidents. Not the ideal place to live if you have wandering toddlers."
