2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers focus more on Avid than anything, leaving the kids who are not in Avid to shame. It is an ocean of lies. They took away anything remotely fun and rewarding from the students and replaced it with data. They also went back to ‘traditional learning’ which is totally idiotic, like all those technological advances with computers to make learning easier is thrown out the hypothetical window and is replaced with paper. All that money going into the school system is wasted on Avid and not put into better things, such as exterminating their roach and rat problem. This school is falling apart, and I blame it on Avid, which has done nothing for the kids except depressing them. Ever wonder why we have the phone number of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline on the back of our ID’s? Now you know.Student Review4mo ago - Georgetown Middle School

"Very friendly area. I live in Georgetown county but outside of the city limits. I work for the hospital system. I find most people in the area are friendly and will offer help if asked. As we do also. "

"The public school system isn’t as desirable in our area. Our children attended private school. Medical institutions are easily accessible from dialysis, cardiac care to oncology. We are located centrally between Myrtle Beach, Charleston and Florence. Many restaurants and retail shopping available. "

"It’s a private and secluded beach where the world disappears. its quiet and beautiful with ocean sunrises and marsh sunsets. My only complaint is the new sand brought in for ‘renourishment’. It’s taken the soft sand, gentle on your feet and replaced it with large, jagged shells; impossible for walking. "
