5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has been an absolute nightmare for my 7th grader. Some of the cllassrooms are out of control, the teachers literally get verbally abused and do absolutely nothing. My child got bullied daily and it was reported and they didn't do a thing. Call after call, emails went unanswered. Finally my husband and I should up at the school only to get the runaround and a 8th grade administrator talking to us. They don't care about your child's safety, nor do they follow 504 plans properly. The racist comments and the favoritism is real in this school. When kids are having to go to school with kids wearing ankle monitors, what else would you expect. Find another school for your child.Parent Review1mo ago - West Ashley High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school for my Junior and Senior years and it was fine. But my younger sister is still there and the new schedule is terrible. Nobody is a fan of being forced to open up about their feelings. There’s a whole class where if you don’t you could not graduate if you don’t participate. I find this extremely unhelpful and just straight up rude. We go there to learn. Nobody liked SEL and nobody likes PACK. It’s stupid. Do better.Other Review8mo ago - Drayton Hall Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe had a series of terrible experiences with negligent faculty at the school. The final situation included our child running nearly a 103 fever, completely lethargic and needing to contact us to go home, and MULTIPLE staff members denying him his right to contact us, HIS PARENTS, to go home. Instead they dismissed him and his brother's requests and made him finish the remaining 5+ hours of school, just for us to find out about it when picking them up from school. When confronting Vice Principal Anderson about it, just a serious of LIES & EXCUSES, No Ownership was taken. We Immediately removed our children from his school as our children did not feel safe!Parent Review1mo ago - Check out schools near 135 Dorothy Dr.

"There is alot of love in Charleston, the infrastructure is small and basic, it is not equipped for the large number of people that have migrated here and crowd our roads. With the traffic ad bad as it is now, you can give up that No. 1 city in America to live in. Really though, this town still amazes me. I can't think of anywhere that I would rather be."

"Traffic is not too bad compared to other urban cities. Public transportation is inadequate. Bike lanes and sidewalks are not consistently available in parts of town, especially bridges and neighboring islands. There are some great trails for hiking and biking though and downtown Charleston is very walkable. "
