Old world charm meets 21st century amenities. From the nostalgic brick sidewalk that leads to the inviting covered front porch, this SINGLE home in West Chester Borough with magnificent high ceilings throughout is ready for your visit. Enter the foyer with leaded side window that lets the sun shine in. Be greeted by the soaring staircase or follow the solid hand scraped walnut hardwood hallway to large living room with inlaid mahogany wood flooring, brick fireplace with custom-made mantel. Above the mantel you'll be ready to connect your entertainment system with high end cables including audio/visual cable with fiber optic sound, an alcove to curl up with a book or virtual office/ school area. It's the perfect spot for holiday decorations. Proceed on the hardwood flooring to the gourmet kitchen where no expense was spared including natural quartz counters and beautiful backsplash, 42 inch solid wood cabinets, large farmhouse sink with goose neck faucet, recessed lighting, attractive pendant lighting, extra large double door refrigerator, and a "to die for" for Wolf gas stove. Enjoy quick meals at the breakfast bar or entertain in the dining area complete with exposed brick wall for great ambiance. Exit from dining area to covered back porch and step down to large open-air deck. Full bath and laundry room with front load washer and dryer complete first floor layout. Ascend to the second level where you will find a large primary bedroom with a separate room that can be conveniently converted to a full bath (plumbed), or perhaps a home office, exercise room, nursery, or walk-in closet. Private hallway leads to second bedroom and a fully updated hall bath complete the second level. Do you need additional space? The full third-story attic is completely finished to two bedrooms or storage space -- it's your choice. The radiators have been refinished to blend with the character and decor of this charming home. This home also features a full basement, large level yard, one car garage and space for one car in the driveway for private off-street parking. Previous owners were a nonprofit organization for moms and their children. So it features fire escape as well as fire alarm and security system. Located just blocks from the county seat and the heart of West Chester Borough where you will find restaurants, shopping, activities and a bustling nightlife. Conveniently located near major travel routes: Route 322, Route 202, and Route 52 are all nearby. Low taxes and West Chester school district add to the desirability of this home. Don't delay. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student there, i enjoyed it there. Comparatively better than schools in the area. The teachers are generally good. Its really big and has tons of fields for sports. there are a lot of clubs. nothing too out of the ordinary all i can say it was a content experience. I had an IEP, and i would say for me the help was minimal, but i also had minimal needs. my friends did not enjoy some of the special needs teachers and aids. The IEP team and advisors are very involved i would say. classes are good sizes and i had 2 teachers, one no longer works there, who i would say they were subpar but it bonded the class together, but there are some problematic teachers, that being unpopular amongst students. but it builds character and is fun to laugh about it later, and you could make friends out of it.Other Review1y ago - Stetson Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLet me put 0 stars, please. O used to go here and if you go to this school, you are about to have the worst time. I just, too much relief able to get out of that terrible place. Most if not all classes have teachers that teach you probably going to be the most useless things (Like why I need to know about the mitochondria??) and then they will not put in any effort to help you if you do not understand the topic. The kids at the school will not have a conversation with you without using every word in the profanity dictionary at least twice, including slurs to and race/ethnicity, and lastly for the kids you better not do anything stupid, or you will probably be made fun of for the rest of the year. The principles will probably get you in trouble for the most random and underserved things. One from my experience was me getting sent to the principle because I got attacked by this kid who TRIED TO FREAKING STRANGLE ME. anyways, I'm done typing just because I have that moment back into my head.I HIGHLY recommend not going here.Other Review4w ago - Sarah W Starkweather El School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average"My daughter has received exceptional support from the staff at Starkweather. Moving to a new state, district, and campus can be overwhelming, but Mr. Meanix and the Special Education staff have made our transition smooth. Working together, we have successfully completed re-evaluations, transfer IEPs, and reestablished therapy schedules. Our son has excelled in first grade and enjoys his extracurricular opportunities. Both my husband and I feel welcomed and happy to be part of the Starkweather Family. We are confident that our children get the best education and care possible."Parent Review1mo ago - Check out schools near 222 Price St.

"West Chester is a sweet little town. There are lots of great restaurants to enjoy (even if we are still in a mostly take out phase), and some great small shops. The growers market is wonderful to visit on Saturday mornings to support local farmers and enjoy fresh produce and other goodies. We love taking walks around our neighborhood and enjoying the gardens people grow and the large trees providing heavenly shade. We have lived here for 11 years and love it."

"I am older and out of touch with is going in the neighborhood but I see trick or treaters and kids riding their bikes and walking. There are families of all ages in this neighborhood and blended families. There houses are 3 or 4 bedroom with many of the homes having additions. We added a sunroom and screened in porch too our home. The basement is partially finished and also had an exercise room and separate spa. The township has kept up common spaces full of lush greenery and trees. There are many neighborhoods like the one I live in in the area as well a very good downtown filled with many restaurants and quaint stores. We also live in close proximity to Exton where there is excellent shopping and resteraunts too choose from!!"
