- 1246 Students
6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAt this school you will never achieve what you have planned to. Between the lack of support from teachers and administration your student will never be able to get the help needed to get anywhere.Homework: The type of homework they give will not teach you anything. It is all just work that the teacher will take to admin to prove that they “did their job”. Teachers: The teachers here are either the best or the worst. Some put in more effort than any of us students deserve while the other 90% skid by while doing the absolute minimum. They however love Shaler as they are stuck in the past from the time they themselves went here. At this point in time the students are more dedicated at what they do than the teachers are.Leadership: There is no leadership what do ever in this school. The lack of support for students and teachers is astounding. In the end Shaler would rather have their name look good than actually teach their students.Character: “pride respect and honor” is what the Shaler motto is. However none of this is directed towards the students. They would rather have us sit there and do what they say because of “respect” than us actually speak our minds or grow creatively into adults with opinions. Learning Differences: The staff here does nothing to promote healthy learning in any way. They would rather take the effortless road of a powerpoint and a lecture than actually teach us anything. And instead of helping you learn the counselors would rather place you in a class that is supposed to “help you stay organized” than talk to you about the problem you’re having.Bullying: As far as bullying goes Shaler does not stand out. However their approach to discipline is the same for every situation. Also if you have a disabled child don’t even think about sending them here because Shalers solution to people vaping in the bathroom was to take the doors off the handicapped stalls. In conclusion it could be much worse but going here has made me realize that public funded education does not care about its students or anyone except the people who give them money.Parent Review2y ago - Marzolf Primary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our 5th year at Marzolf and we have 4 more to go. There has been nothing but greatness from this school. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is pretty average for an Elementary School. The design of the school is well, the playground, fields, classrooms, and such.the teachers and staff give average learning opportunities and strategies. However; The learning style could be updated more. They sometimes offer events that can get students and others involved, and using fun-ways to encourage students to try extracurricular activities. The problem is the counseling, there is an issue with students being treated bad and the school not doing much about it. Saying “That’s not nice” wont stop elementary schoolers. Peoples parents/guardians also need to get their children more involved and making sure their child isnt inflicting bullying on others. Although this is a problem in most united states schools, but there should definitely be more lockdown drills and updated procedures in the case of emergency. There is occasionally a security officer around the building and a nice front office.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 708 Seavey Rd.

"It’s a college area, so unless you’re in school I wouldn’t advise living here. Places are affordable the best if you have a roommate to make it easier but unless you’re in college, there’s no point of living here."
